POLICIES FOR PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF PLAGIARISM AND BAD PRACTICES
Originality and Plagiarism Prevention Policy
The journal has a strict policy regarding article publication. Articles that plagiarize, substantially overlap, or duplicate other articles previously published or submitted for simultaneous publication in this or other journals will not be published.
To ensure originality and prevent duplications, the journal conducts a rigorous review of the manuscripts submitted for evaluation. It utilizes the Similarity Check tool, which detects detailed and quantitative similarities with already published articles.
Repeated or duplicated publication is not acceptable. Authors who violate this rule may face sanctions. Additionally, preliminary submissions or prior publications before official publication are considered a violation of copyright. In exceptional cases, with the approval of the editorial team of the primary publication, preliminary information delivery may be accepted to prevent misconduct .
Conflict of Interest Policy
All authors, reviewers, and editorial team members of the Journal of Movement and Health must declare any conflicts of interest that could influence the research, analysis, interpretation, or review of an article. Conflicts of interest may include financial, personal, academic, or commercial relationships that could affect the objectivity of those involved.
Upon article submission, authors are required to disclose any financial support or external influences related to their research. Reviewers must decline the review of a manuscript if they have a potential conflict of interest that could affect their impartiality. If an undisclosed conflict of interest is identified, the editorial team will assess corrective actions, which may include additional review or rejection of the article.
Retraction and Corrections Policy
Journal of Movement and Health is committed to maintaining the integrity of published research and ensures the correction of significant errors in its articles. When factual or interpretive errors are identified, whether by authors, readers, or editors, the editorial team will evaluate the situation and determine whether a correction or retraction is necessary.*
In cases of minor errors that do not affect the overall content of the article, a correction linked to the original article will be published. If misconduct is discovered, such as falsified data or duplicate publication, the article will be retracted. In both cases, a public notice will be issued on the journal's website explaining the reasons for the correction or retraction, ensuring transparency in the process.
