Objective: This study aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of a questionnaire that allows the analysis of the knowledge of teachers and directors of educational establishments regarding the benefits of physical activity on the cognitive processes of children and adolescents. Methods: An ad hoc questionnaire was developed and validated by a committee of 3 experts using the Delphi method and the content validity index (CVI). Subsequently, an internal consistency analysis was conducted using Cronbach's alpha. Results: The questionnaire comprised 27 items grouped into three subscales (Physical activity, Cognition and executive functions, and Physical activity and cognition in children and adolescents) and was applied to 64 teachers and directors. The results show a α=0,960; ω=0.961 and a CVI = 0.87. Conclusion: it is considered that the instrument can be a relevant contribution to generate studies related to the topic of the relationship between physical activity and cognition, providing valuable information that allows for further analysis within the framework of the development of this line of research and implementation of actions from national public policies.
